Our Journey Through Kew Gardens

As the beginning of Spring 2019 approached London, we visited the enchanting grounds of Kew Gardens for our SS19 Bridal campaign shoot. Even in early March, the trees were blossoming in deep hues of pink, and elegant white swans roamed across the lawns. Beautiful greenhouses shielded us from occasional rain showers, where the new collection flourished among the stunning array of foliage.

We began the day before dawn in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, where we travelled between two different worlds. Starting in the tropics, the jewel tones of hibiscus and lilies bounced off the sparkling beads of the Monique Top and Monica Skirt, causing the separates to shimmer as bright as the surrounding rainforest. While the Livvy Gown’s white satin and delicate back bow contrasted perfectly amongst dark green palm leaves. A quick change and a step later, and we were suddenly in the rustic landscape of a desert. Here, the Loyal Gown’s dot chiffon and lace trim mimicked the spikes and shape of cacti but with a softer touch.

As midday approached, we headed into the Palm House where we found ourselves in a jungle of bamboo and fan-shaped trees. Encased in a Victorian white spiral staircase, the Morocco Skirt transported us back to the bygone era as her scalloped train trailed up the steps. The Music Skirt embraced the natural environment as her airy chiffon body swayed with the branches of the surrounding forest, while the Itala Top’s lace design matched the pattern of their leaves.

We finished our day in the Temperate House, the newest of Kew Garden’s greenhouses. Exploring the balconies and winding pathways, the Maxi Jacket’s deep v-cut resembled the angular architecture of the towering glass ceilings. Paired perfectly with a pair of Freya Rose heels, the Milani Trousers added a sense of sophistication.

Our journey through Kew Garden’s was unforgettable. The natural beauty that appeared with each turn was captivating and complemented our SS19 Bridal collection perfectly. Follow our adventure below…
